Client Project - Testing

I'm currently merging my website into Modx (CMS) and I've incorporated the navigation. I have differences between the shape of the navigation button in IE8 and Firefox. The shape is supposed to be rounded corners (CSS3). It works in all Firefox versions and Internet Explorer 9 beta. This is not a major issue (in the design) but as my client runs IE8, I'm going to look into alternative styling so at least she can see it working. Here is the video showing my problem in IE8 (below).

Artist Website - validating

I'm struggling with validating my website. I have 29 errors and 12 warnings. Most of the errors are with the youtube code which i got from there website. So i am finding it hard to figure out the code.

Criticism

Now that i have put my first initial website together i received feedback from my tutor to make changes and now come up with more ideas for our website.

Points made about my design:

  • Too much white space
  • Not symmetrical enough (the tree is off centred making the design look off centre)
  • Size is too small (I made the design 800 x 600 but realised it doesn't work with bigger monitor sizes

Browser Testing

Before validating my website I'm going to test my website in different browsers using (www.brosershots.org) and on my own computer. The screenshot below proves my website works in the following browsers.

Internet Explorer 8 (working)

Firefox v 3.5.5 (working)

Safari v 4.0.4 (working)
